The Myrtle Beach Colored School served African-American students in the Myrtle Beach area from 1923-1958. Parts of the original building were saved and the school was rebuilt using those parts and reopened in 2006 as the Historic Myrtle Beach Colored School Museum and Education Center. The Center provides a window into the past, as well as a door to the future for all visitors.
