The Little Pee Dee State Park is a great area to explore the nature surrounding the river. The park contains a portion of a Carolina Bay, a mysterious geological depression unique to the Atlantic Coastal Plain. You can also view the white sand rim left millions of years ago as the ocean receded.

The 835-acre park offers a campground, nature trail and picnic area. Cast a line for catfish, bream, and bass in the still waters of Lake Norton.

The park is conveniently located off of 1-95 in Dillon.
