The Hopsewee Plantation in Georgetown is a classic 18th century colonial plantation house open most days of the week for visitors to tour.

Get an up-close look at slave cabins and the grounds where rice was once cultivated. At one time, as many as 180 slaves were accounted for at the Hopsewee Plantation.

Beautiful moss-hung live oak trees line the property with views of the Santee River, making the Hopsewee Plantation a must-see for both the history and nature enthusiasts.
