Owned by Ron Barfield, a former NASCAR driver and protege of Bill Elliott, the Dillon Motor Speedway packs in the crowds. The ASA sanctioned track holds the Street Stock Series New Years Day 300 – what a great way to start off your year!
The original 4/10 mile dirt oval opened around 1966 as Dillon County Raceway, operating through 1973. It reopened from 1977 to 1980. In 2006, badly over grown, it was bought by Ron Barfield. The track was paved and given new life. The 2007 season was the first for the new Dillon Motor Speedway.
